The plaque unveiling ceremony of Digibio Medical Lab was grandly held at the Zhuhai UM Science & Technology Research Institute (ZUMRI) in the morning of 13 April 2023.

Together with the Zhuhai Center for Disease Control and Prevention, we are conducting weekly influenza sample testing, which shows that our rapid detection chip can already meet the detection needs of most respiratory multi-pathogens. Dr. Chen Tianlan once again expressed his heartfelt thanks to the guests, and thanked everyone for taking time to participate and witness this special moment together.

His student, Prof. Elvis Mak, not only promoted the development of this technology, but also passed on to the two founders of Digifluidic, Dr. Chen Tianlan and Dr. Dong Cheng. These two students from the University of Macau realized the industrialization of digital microfluidics, which is a breakthrough and success. Prof. Rui Martins wished that Digifluidic could continue to move forward and go further with this technology.

Prof. Elvis Mak, director of State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI of the University of Macau, said that Dr. Chen Tianlan and Dr. Dong Cheng are both his students. He has been involved in and witnessed the growth of these two students. It was not easy for them. Facts have proved that he and the University of Macau are correct, Digifluidic is a successful investment and implementation of the University of Macau. The University of Macau has spared no effort to support the growth of Digifluidic. In the soil of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, Macao’s scientific and technological achievements have been bred, and it is hoped that Macao will be more closely connected with the motherland. Prof. Elvis Mak thanked the government leaders and business representatives for their presence. At the same time, he hoped to get the full support of the government departments for Macao’s industries and technologies to root in Hengqin, so that the new forces of Macao and the fresh blood of the motherland can live, work and grow together in Hengqin.
