Introduction to Power MOSFETs in Switched-Mode Power Supplies
Abstract:
Power MOSFETs are essential components in Switched Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) due to their superior performance characteristics such as fast switching speed, low on-state resistance, and high input impedance. The selection of a suitable MOSFET is critical in the design of an efficient SMPS. This introduction provides an overview of the operating principles of power MOSFET, its applications in SMPS, and the key considerations in selecting a MOSFET for a specific SMPS application.
Biography:
Mr. Han Feng has been serving as Chief Technology Officer in Innovision Semiconductor Incorporated since Mar 2022. He holds B. S. and M. S. degrees in the Department of Electronic Science and Technology from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He used to be the section manager of the R & D department at TSMC (China), Shanghai. He possesses over 15 years of experience in semiconductor devices and process development and holds more than 40 patents including 6 US patents.
