A delegation from the Science and Technology Development Fund’s (FDCT) Administrative Committee recently visited the University of Macau (UM) and was warmly received by UM Rector Prof Wei Zhao, UM Vice Rector (Research) and State Key Laboratory of Analog and Mixed-Signal VLSI (AMS-VLSI Lab) Director Prof Rui Martins, AMS-VLSI Lab Deputy Director Prof Ben U, Institute of Chinese Medical Science Director and State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine Director Prof Wang Yitao, and Faculty of Science and Technology Dean Prof Philip Chen.

The delegation was led by FDCT’s Administrative Committee Chair Ma Chi Ngai. Rector Wei Zhao told the guests about UM’s research achievements in the last three years, including the significant increase in the number of papers by UM academics published in SCI-indexed journals and in paper citation frequency. The delegation also visited the AMS-VLSI Lab in the company of Prof Rui Martins and Prof Ben Yu. Ma pledged continued support for UM in its scientific research development. He especially hopes that UM can strengthen collaboration with mainland institutions in scientific research as well as in the application and commercialisation of research results.
